Hilton Hotel likely to close

A report in "the age" last month said the Hilton on the Park is likely to close when the lease expires in late 2014. The hotel property owner, Brookfield Australia advertised the property for sale with vacant possession but received lacklustre interest and eventually withdrew the sale.
